There are three types of classes. The first two styles are lecture and demo styles. In a lecture style class, you will be listening to an instructor. For these types of classes, just bring an open mind and maybe a notepad to keep track of what you’ve learned. Examples of lecture style classes are business or marketing classes. In a demonstration style class, your instructor will demonstrate things for you to properly learn their technique, such as an editing class. There are fewer lecture or demo style classes at ClickCon because we know they are useful but we also know it’s best to learning by doing, so we offer more hands-on classes than lecture or demos. We’re proud that over 75% of our classes are hands-on!

Our favorite class style is the hands-on class! Be prepared with your camera as you dig right in and work alongside your class pro. Classes may be held onsite and offsite. ALL classes begin in a classroom at the Palmer House Hotel with a little bit of instruction and lecturing (usually 45-60 minutes), followed by 60-90 minutes of hands-on application of what has been taught. It is up to the discretion of the individual class speaker whether and where they will lead their attendees out of the classroom for the hands-on portion of their class. This could be somewhere inside the hotel or perhaps out on the streets of Chicago near the hotel! Outside locations will not be announced in the class schedule. ALL classes will begin in the designated classroom, with only the registered class attendees being allowed entrance to attend.

Have some extra time and want to simply expand your portfolio? Check out our Models On Loan program. Our design team will be hard at work creating about 100 different themes during the hours of ClickCon. Models will be spending their time working with photographers and videographers all over ClickCon. All you have to do is proceed to the Model On Loan area located on the 5th floor just outside the Price Room. You can inquire there to secure a model for a scheduled hour. Please remember this is a community event and all of our ClickCon models, hair and makeup artists are donating their time to work with you. We do have one positive rule. For any model you photograph or video please upload one image or clip for their portfolio to our main gallery page. This helps us keep the costs of ClickCon down while creating a great portfolio and experience for everyone involved.

Absolutely! We encourage you to use anything you shoot at ClickCon. We just ask one favor: please share them with us as well. Our models are working for free in exchange for images for their portfolio and this is how we can offer this amazing service for FREE. We want our models to come back year after year. We have an online gallery link in our app with albums (folders) for each model so you can upload your images. We will send detailed instructions on how to best share your images as the event gets closer.

Our top sponsors may have their latest gear for you to check out and demo FREE OF CHARGE! This is an amazing opportunity to try the gear firsthand before you buy! We don’t know which vendors will be bringing demo gear for you to try so you’ll have to check out the trade show floor for yourself! *Loaner gear is available at the discretion of each individual vendor. Loaner gear is not supplied by ClickCon.

Located on our trade show floor, the hands-on shooting bays will amaze you, as these high-stylized areas are designed to both inspire and educate. Join our top pros as they walk you through how they lit these sets and are obtaining their killer shots. Bring out your cameras and take advantage of these amazing image opportunities all lit by today’s latest and greatest gear. We take pride in bringing you all ClickCon has to offer at an extremely affordable price. For this reason, there will NOT be ANY refunds, cancellations, or transfer of tickets accepted for any reason.

While we are very compassionate and do understand that life happens, there is one way to make sure we can continue to bring you this great opportunity at a phenomenal price. This is to control the costs and trade of tickets to ClickCon. Please understand that this is a limited ticket event. This show will sell out. When you book a spot to attend ClickCon, you are reserving class space that others will not be able to attend once sold out. We will not allow the transfer or trade of tickets due to the possibility of scalpers selling them at higher prices. This conference is truly for the community and we would like everyone to have the same chance at attending the conference at the very same price.

Due to a limitation on the number of tickets sold, all ClickCon tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.

We at ClickCon are not in control of the state restrictions due to Covid, nor are we responsible for the opening or closing of the State of Illinois nor the City of Chicago. Covid has changed the way large events take place and we are doing our best to adhere to the restrictions and openings, and still provide the best photography and videography conference for our attendees. The ClickCon Team can only make decisions based on the current status of covid restrictions for large events and we are doing so with your best interests at heart. However, our cancellation/refund policy remains the same: all ClickCon event tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. If you have questions, please email info@clickcon.us.
